Sales Manager at The Media Octopus (TMO) – up to £40k + bonus

 

✏️  About Us:

We are seeking a sharp, experienced Sales Manager to heat up our existing sales team. The Media Octopus (TMO) is a young, driven digital marketing agency based in Sale, South Manchester. We work with a wide range of B2B clients, from small start-ups to blue chip.

✏️  Our Sales Manager will have:

  • A Degree, Bachelor’s or equivalent
  • At least two years’ experience in a targeted sales environment, preferably in the B2B arena
  • Experience in working a pipeline effectively
  • Working knowledge of the digital marketing landscape
  • Confidence in critiquing or guiding team members, along with giving appraisals
  • An ability to jump on the phone to generate leads/close sales if required
  • Experience in developing sales strategies to boost new business and retention is preferred, but not essential
  • Experience in managing a team, preferably in a sales environment
  • Excellent IT skills, with the ability to work using a CRM system
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience in selling AdWords, PPC and other digital products
  • Experience in selling B2B data packages
  • Knowledge of how to operate under Data Protection would be an advantage

✏️  Your Responsibilities:

  • As Sales Manager, you will be managing and mentoring an expanding sales team
  • Agreeing individual targets for team members, and providing guidance on how to succeed
  • Working in line with monthly sales targets, ensuring the team is on track
  • Accompanying team members to client pitches/meetings
